Went out to see if there was more sheep territory and get closer to the Maasvlakte.
There is a rough, half working alarm bell when the bridge opens. Many years ago when I was here it sounded the same. Ah well... if it works...
Now THAT is an unusual sign :)
(Buizerd = Buzzard, a large dangerous bird of prey.)
In fact I should have been more worried when I looked up what a buzzard actually is. Did not see it tho...
No, that is a small black cloud in the distance.
There are those windbreakers again. Too dark to get a good shot.
The lights of the Maasvlakte already? No, Europoort.
Only 3 kms away... But that is for another day.
Maybe even in the daytime ;)
Suurhoffbrug. Very cartoonish bridge keeper's house.
Looking back at Europoort.
I wonder how it looks in the daytime. Probably very bland.
On the way home, back in sheep territory. There are many more now bunched up and I have to slowly weave through. Some of them were coughing, sounded nasty.
They became a bit restless so I tried putting out my headlight. That was not working: now in the dark they could only hear me and nearly went on a stampede. Switched back on and they calmed. Better to see your enemy.
(No sheep, or interesting things, on the first part after the bridge btw. Bike roads very bumpy, drove parts on the car lane) The rest of the way went easy, not too tired. The Brienenoordtunnel was much steeper than on the way out though, odd ;)
