That looked like an interesting area on google maps. Endless wobbly drive along the IJssel, endless very narrow strips of farmland with endless straight roads through them.

OMG it's everywhere!

The Algerabrug. Opened in 1958 and renovated in 2016. It looks a bit odd, the little roofs on top. Makes it feel more like 'home' I guess :)

Nice drive along the river, that sunset time always puts on a good show.

Nice 3D effect on a 2D fence. Same designer?
I like it.

Thank the Lord, some industrial plants in the perfect community. I saw signs like 'Nooit Volmaakt' - 'Never Perfect'. And a lot of 'For Sale ' signs on the houses. A LOT.

A nice but out-of-place bridge to the beginning of the Tiendweg.

It goes on for 13 kms. The first part is quite rough. Changed headlight batteries. Very dark, very quiet. It goes on and on.

Saw a furry ball in the middle of the road- a rat? Hedgehog? Pixie? Gone when I looked back. Later I saw an elongated reddish brown animal like a small marter? WTF? Gone when I looked back. Birds? made all kinds of warning noises when I speeded along with my big headlight.

There must be amazing fauna in these areas.

Then I bumped into two people in the middle of nowhere, in the darkness. Many kms from anywhere. What strange creatures. I asked for directions.

After that wonderful drive, back on the IJsseldijk, I saw this house with the front door opening directly on the road.

Must get used to cars ripping briefcase out of hands early morning.

Resting for a while near the Algerabrug. Very psychedelic. Yep, early 60's.
