Let's go to the Vondelingenplaat and follow the Vondelingenweg to the end.
Pouring rain, 6bft headwind. Perfect! Taking a thermos with hot peasoup and a bit of red wine with me for a late dinner.
| Stopped here because I forgot to put the raincover on my backpack. Too late. Spare jersey soaked... Continue and make the best of it. |
| Hope the phone is a bit water resitant. |
| End of the Vondelingenweg. |

| Going a bit further North. The lightshow is great. |

| The end of "Tankhoofd". |
| Just too late to capture the big ship passing by because thick soaked gloves are not good with the tiny phone buttons. |
| Going back. Big steaming lightshow. Draining canals are flooded to roadlevel almost. |
| Time for hot soup with a view. No more pictures, I fear for my phone, it blacked out a few times. |
| Sat there, nicely in the windshade. Somebody lovingly stickered "Rotterdam" in colorful letters on the door. Probably in sunnier times!
Oh, and halfway the Beneluxtunnel I had an 'instant fixie' while at speed. A piece of string wound around the cassette wedging it so no more freewheel. It instantly dropped the chain when I stopped pedalling. Had to do some road-side mechanics to fix the fixie ;P |
